To fulfill the quest of many Nigerians the CBN has launched a portal for the Old Naira Notes deposit through branches of CBN nationwide. the currency redemption portal allow individuals and corporate firm to access it.
The CBN said that the
‘condition for the redemption of currency’ must be met. The CBN further stressed
that as part of the conditions is that depositors can only access the window
once and beneficiary accounts would only receive value after the successful
processing of cash deposited and verification of documents submitted.
Steps to follow:
Click on "Get Started", indicate whether you are
"individual" or "corporate firm", fill out the rest of the
form.
In the form you will
be required to provide their bank verification number, email address, phone
number, bank account details, depositor information (including house address),
and the total amount of the denomination (N200, N500 and N1000 notes) to be
redeemed.
Then "Go to the
CBN branch with the printout.”
