The Coalition of Civil Society Group is seen on the street of Lagos on Wednesday protesting against the scarcity of the new N200, N500 and N1000 notes. Protesters marched in their thousand carrying placards with various inscriptions such as "Stop New Noete Scarcity Now", "EFCC Arrest bank Officials handling new notes now", "CBN Sanction Defaulting Banks Now", "Banks Are Sabotaging Etfforts of the CBN", among others. The group leader Mr Etuk Willams, who spoke to news reporters said "the nonavailability of the new notes had subjected many Nigerians to more hardship and this has to stop by the quick intervention of the CBN and the government of President Buhari without further details".
