MTN Users
To link your NIN with your MTN phone number, simply do the following:
1. Dial *785# puch Send then Enter your NIN.
OR
2. Visit: https://mtnonline.com/nim/ using your phone or Internet-ready PC, fill the e-form with your name, phone number, NIN, and email address. On clicking Submit you will receive an OTP message via SMS you are required to use the OTP within 5 minutes to complete the NIN update.

How to Update your Airtel SIM with your NIN?
1. Dial *121*1# send
2. Then Dial 1
3. Enter your NIN eleven-digit number
How to quickly check your NIN without the National ID Card or the Slip?
N.B:- to retrieve NIN vis USSD cost N20.
1. On your mobile phone dial *346# (it must be the registered phone number with NIMC)
2. In the prompted message displayed on your phone do one of the following - dial 1 to retrieve you NIN or dial 2 to Cancel the operation.
3. A message containing your NIN will display on your phone copy it, keep it safe for personal use.
9MOBILE Users
How to register for National ID Card or NIN?
Visit any NIMC office near you and apply for your National Identity Card. You must go with the following one valid ID card, Birth certificate or declaration of age sworn in a competent Court of law, other information are your regular bio data.

GLO Users
To Link your NIN to your GLO SIMDo the following: Send "UpdateNIN NIN FirstName LastName"
e.g. UPDATENIN 1234567890 John Agunloju
Terminologies used above:
NIMC - National Identity Management Centre.
NIN - National Identification Number
SIM - Subscriber Identity Module or Subscriber Identification Module. SIM is an integrated circuit that securely stores the international mobile subscriber identity.
USSD - Unstructured Supplementary Service Data, is a communication service controlled by mobile network operators.
