The Honourable Minister for Education, Adamu Adamu has clear the air on school reopening date. The minister said this while addressing news men in Abuja on Tuesday, 8 July 2020, that WAEC cannot dictate when Schools will open to us we will only do so when it is safe for both the teachers and the students.
He explained further that the candidates can only be controlled when within the examination premises, but who takes there control afterward, who will take responsibility for what happen to them outside the examination environment.
These students are government's properties and government takes responsibilities on them and not any examination bodies or schools. Hence, no school is allowed to open until when it is safe to do so. The minister irritated.
